Creating Sub/Addon Domains with NexiPanel Print

Before creating a sub/addon domain, you need to create at least one website. Follow our guide to create a website.

For any user, the first website is set as the default website for that user. Please keep that in mind, as it will help you understand this document later.

Let’s say your main website is:

Main site: nexipanel.net

Sub-domains can be: demo.nexipanel.net or client.nexipanel.net (note that the subdomain will always be part of the main domain)

Addon Domains can be: nexihosting.cloud or nexipersons.com (a completely independent domain)

Create Addon Domain

1. Navigate to Websites -> Create Sub/Addon Domain.

Note: Please keep in mind that the addon domain will always be created under the default website of your NexiPanel.

In the image below, the main domain was wpmautic.net, and the addon domain is nexipersons.com. This is why the selected path will be under /home/maindomain.com/.

Create Sub-Domain

1. Navigate to Websites -> Create Sub/Addon Domain.

Note: Subdomains are part of main websites, which is why you will first have to select the main website from the dropdown.

As you can see, I’ve selected nexipanel.net as the main website, so my subdomain will be under that domain, like demo.nexipanel.net. The path will also fall under that selected domain, unlike with addon domains where the path always falls under the default website of NexiPanel.
